A Certified Homemaker/Home Health Aide (CHHA) is a licensed member of the home care team providing personal care services. A CHHA is ethically responsible and works with honesty and integrity to support the organization’s mission in striving for excellence in all aspects of service. The successful candidate is a team player who follows and performs delegated tasks in a patient’s residence in accordance with an established care plan. Demonstrates tact, patience, and cooperation in fulfilling service obligations. Is proactive, compassionate and caring; having empathy for the needs and care of the ill, frail, injured and/or the impaired.


  • Satisfactory completion of NJ Board of Nursing training program for Home Health Aide

  • Completion of the Home Care Competency exam

  • Completion of Self-Assessment Form

  • In good standing, holding a current and valid certificate as a Home Health Aide/Homemaker in NJ issued by Division of Consumer Affairs: NJ Board of Nursing

  • Proven working experience as a Certified Homemaker Home Health Aide preferred

  • Exceptional patient service skills

  • Proficiency in English preferred


 A Nursing Student

  • A written New Jersey Board of Nursing waiver in lieu of a certificate

  • Completion of the Home Care Competency Exam

  • Completion of Self-Assessment Form

RN Registered Nurse PER DIEM

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of principles and processes for providing personal care services. This includes meeting quality standards for services, maintain patient confidentiality and exhibit professional behavior.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Complete a background check  and drug test

  • Dependable and Ethically Responsible 

  • Must be able to work a schedule that includes weekends, evenings, and holidays

  • Provide complete and current Physical Examination & vaccinations

  • Compliance with all requirements set forth in personnel and agency policies and maintain current credentials

  • Current unrestricted NJ RN license

  • Current CPR Certification

  • Current TB Test and Physical Exam

  • Valid Driver's License, Auto Insurance, and reliable transportation

  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check

  • Experience in home health nursing preferred, but will train

  • Bilingual Spanish and English preferred
